John, Lurkers lose their vote, just like those that fail to register in the Vote for President if you do not sytand up to be counted you are out of it.

If we allowed lurkers I could go to other threads and get a host of people to vote my way, I could organise a rout of Engle.
No, to be fair it must be those who post here on an occasional basis at least.

If we allowed unregistered voters in we would have travelling voters in the presidential election, hell we have them here in Canada, guys that get 20-30 votes in different polling stations since the mechanism if not perfect.

I think there is a huge difference between participant and an observer. Just take a fist-fight (the example is not to be an analogy of anything going on this thread). I think the fighters should have a lot more say about when to quit than the observers. Under your rules, even though the 2 participants had enough, the observers could vote to force them to continue.
