Richard, Great point about Truman. My mom told me they were in a mini-panic the day FDR died. FDR kept Truman far away from the action. Job sometimes makes the man. And another similiarity i believe between bush and truman is that Truman too had a first rate cabinet of experienced hands. From this came the Marshall Plan, the rebuilding of Japan and Germany without animus to avoid Treaty of Versailles nightmare. Talked to a few cops today. My new morning job is to thank them wherever i see them which is on every corner now. I have them all convinced that bin laden will appear in NYC as a 6'4" womans baskedball player, sans beard. I am convinced he left the caves on 9/10. His face is emblazened in my conciousness and if i find him, i shall personally kill him or call my new friends the police. Talk about a thin blue line. If anyone watches the TV show Centre street on A&E, that show explained what thin blue lines are all about.
