broad
you wrote
Larry you can move that bottom trendline around a number of ways. But, moving it to fit in with what you want to see can be dangerous

answer:
The channel lines are a function of "standard error linear regression". I don't move them. They are calculated and only one answer is possible from the math.

Hope that helps

broadstbull....get real...the bottom line is that technical analysis is always going to have a degree of subjectivity until those trendlines are convincingly broken to the upside or downside. What Larry is trying to point out is that the naz pulled back to the area of the bottomline of the upward trendline. Whether it breaks it still to the downside, one still see other significant trendlines the naz has to break before losing real support

Even though my opinion is that we eventuallly will pull back from this huge recent rise, the bottom line is it doesn't matter what I think or any of the so called SI gurus here. It cracks me up. Larry is just using tech analysis to point out buy and sell triggers..thats all.

So broadstbull, even though you and "Nutcase pacific" want it to have broken that trendline soooo bad....its way too early. Lets see what happens.

BSB, The trend has been broke only if your using closing prices. If you use a standard Regression Line the trend is still in tact. Although one more down day and that trend line is history also. If we can successfully hold the 1640ish area than maybe this rally can continue. If we continue to shoot for the moon on nothing more than hysteria then MWAG is we retest the lows and more.

All this is JMO
