I therefore believe it highly unlikely that they are nuclear-capable - now.

Probably not but they do have friends who have access to nuclear weapons ... inside the ISI half the people are pro Taliban ... if Musharraf falls, which is almost a sure bet, it will take mere hours for terrorists to get their hands on nuclear weapons. They'll aim these weapons first at India and after that the terrorists will threaten America to give them whatever they want or else. This should explain why India is so f*****g jumpy!

Prepared?! Are you joking?!

Even now, almost nothing has been done. In terms of domestic security? All we've seen, so far, is 95% hand holding PR, and spin.

Our borders are wide open. Anybody can fly into Mexico or Canada and simply walk across with anthrax, small pox, suit case nucs, whatever..

The FBI hasn't even been sharing intelligence with state and local police, for heaven sake!! We basically wait passively for each new attack and then belatedly react.

IMO, we have no national security. It must be like shooting fish in a barrel for the terrorists. Unless we see some semblence of a functional central government besides press releases, and bombing empty tents in the Afghan desert, we're going to lose this war.
