I really wish some major figure in the Arab/Islamic world would step up to the plate and offer the non-infidels another option than Osama bin Laden's savage murder policy and the BS of autocratic governments. Without that, the polarization is going to get a lot worse. Well, we can hope for it, but it does not look like it is coming anytime soon.

I have thought about ordinary Muslims and perhaps they do not agree, perhaps a huge silent majority, but if they want us to believe that then they must come forward now. If there is one, then I bet they are scared witless by the extremists, but they must have the courage to do it, for if they don't, judgments will be drawn quite quickly now. Each day passes and the judgments are getting harsher. I know mine have, and you see it here at SI and now in the press too. I am really amazed at what I just read in The Washington Post. Basically telling a Republican President that he was not acting forcefully enough militarily! Being too diplomatic! Calling for a far stronger military and diplomatic response. I haven't seen anything like this from the Post in more than 30 years.
