You are right. The Afghan women have learned to use their eyes to communicate because that's all they are allowed to show. Scandinavian people are equally beautiful but in a different way that I can't actually describe. Some peoples strike me as inherently unlovely, but I am not about to specify which. It would only expose a vestige of racism that I consider and conceal internally as a private matter. I'm sure they feel the same about me. I too would pay higher taxes to help Afghanistan and the other poor countries of the world, but only if we can be assured that the money will go for its intended purpose. Too often I think that it just disappears. Not really of course. Somebody who doesn't deserve it gets rich and the rest starve.
