Oh my goodness. Do you mean the confidence index is lower than expected? I'm so shocked - it being Oct. and all, and being 9 times out of 10 it's lower in October, notwithstanding 9-11.

You'd think the economists would be better able to factor all these variables in - drop it 2 more points just because it's October.

I'm so shocked.
