kakamongus. i don't recall ML saying anything about October being blue moon month?

Sounds just as reasonable, though. Why didn't they mention that the lowered expectations for Beattle dung production in Africa MAY also affect Dell's earnings?

As sure as November being a blue moon month, there will be further analysts issuing negative comments about DELL as we approach their earnings release.

I think that is the same old story from analysts.

This time we may be getting ready for a surprise given the new operating system from Microsoft and the tendency to hold back purchases.
Intel's update today will be interesting.

Would also note that CNBC reported that some firm in Seattle noted that Windows XP upgrades are selling very well. That is important for Dell because a lot of PCs are not capable of supporting a Windows upgrade at this point..meaning PC sales pickup. Component pricing environment is still pretty good.

I am also of the opinion that if travel plans are cut, it also frees up cash for consumer goods such as PCs. We will just have to wait for the current data on PC demand..probably with Dell's earnings report.
