I think that energy costs will stay flat or decline this winter:

- lower industrial & retail demand due to recession
- aggressive conservation by households and to a lesser degree businesses (for a single year at least)
- normal (so far) Pacific Northwest rainfall year = much more hydro power

The mitigating factor, of course, is the war, and any damage that occurs in the pipeline, so to speak.

TSF, Heck, my energy names are going gangbusters. Not today, but in the last few days. As soon as Saudi Arabia has an "accident" the sky's the limit.

ENE is something of a special situation and not one I own or recommend. Alas, many of my clients have significant portions of their net worth in the issue because they work there.

Obviously STF -- they had to do a lot more to get a valuation like that in the first place -- that's the problem, it would appear
