"reporting is a different - and separate - matter" Reporting maybe different and separate, but the money they spent are real, and the fact remains that Intel has lost about $4B y-y, and about $600M last quarter. $600M are gone, understand? Why don't you go back to 3-rd grade and learn additions and subtractions on direct example of dollars, and stop using a fig-leaf on the loophole of distorted formal accounting? The current GAAP is the distorted version of reality, and you love to live in this distortion since it serves your deceptive "investment" goals.
