And wait! Right on the front page of the WSJ... the exact topic argued here with anecdotes vs 'data': "Pinched Homeowners Are Finding Shelter in Modified Loans"- Softening Blow of Slowdown, lenders try negotiation rather then foreclosure. Maybe that's why the vast majority of "science"... ie. "proof ala medical studies and data" get their start from anecdotal evidence. Did someone forget to mention that intelligent anecdotes have a nasty way of turning into data? No anecdotes needed to show that putting off the inevitable usually makes little sense. DAK
