Gottfried/Kirk...didn't we establish an off topic thread for these personal attacks. Now we'll have to start a "AMAT, I hate Ian thread" (bg)...so many threads...so little time

Kirk, You mentioned the idea of buying LRCX under $20.00 a share. In my opinion its a decent play...considering todays market. I Thought that your sell limit of about $30.00 was on the high side...but its a matter of personal perspective.

Thread Question....Which would be the better choice
1) Buy LRCX $20.00 and write a covered call against it immediately and get $1.80 for the call (20...strike)...or wait until LRCX gets to 18.50 then buy it and take .90 for the covered call?
Kirk, I have played with this math problem for months and have yet to come to a solid conclusion.

Other opinions encouraged. Note...the 18.50 price represents a falling knife while the 20 price represents...take what you can get.

Regards, Jerome

Gottfried,
Rarely do I hear you make such a comment about another poster. Why now?
