Rudy le Rocher was out there on the day while the rest of the government was running. What I find special is something intangible though: his spirit, his engaging, comforting smile while his city has been terrified and saddened, and also his ruthless, no-holds-barred treatment of the many, including of course the now-infamous Saudi Alwaleed bin Talal, who, incredibly, dare lecture the victims of mass murder.

Like I said, if Rudy runs for President in 2004, he has my vote hands down. He's proven himself one of the best leaders we have had in a long, long time. He's a healer and also extraordinarily tough and determined.

If he ran as an independent I believe he would win in a landslide.
