Even though it's indicative of a pessimistic near-term, I like to see company management that doesn't let the company keep bleeding unnecessarily. Cymer keeps its eye on the bottom line and adjusts itself to fit the circumstances. It might be tough on the laid-off employees, but as a stockholder I'm happy to see them trim unneeded staff.

Cymeed, I am not sure about CYMI apparent strength, it often lags in the advance and late in the cycle plays catch up, but then from nowhere, when the sector breaks back down it accelerates in its decline. I think that within a week we should peek for the time being, and unless you have the "stomach to revisit the $16/$17 area, you may want to hedge your bets (likeseling the December $20 or 22.5 covered calls ? I am assuming you are long the stock.).
