While you decide remember this the route that plane was flying before it was lost could been to any of the potential targets we discussed. The ATC person singled out one building so that she could get TV time, because there is no way she or anyone else could have determined the actual target. Also, if you recall, the second plane which hit the WTC flew a circular pattern around the building before it struck. To decide that the White House was the target is good for getting on the tube but still there is no data that supports it as a target. My goodness anything within two miles north or south of the heading could have been hit in seconds and been the target and a five sided building was and was hit
