Hi D.J. - Sure the analysts are engaged in hoopla!! That's why they say 'strong buy' when Broadcom is at 274, and JDSU is at 150! I'd say comments on XP are premature, I think it is a vast improvement over Windowstoy98, but who really knows how it will sell, at least for the balance of this year. I would quibble with you on the 'sales all the time', simply because the sales really picked up when the PC market tanked, but that is to be expected. What can I tell you in regard to the swings?? I've said several times that I have become a very short term trader because the market forces me to do it. Might as well go with the flow. A 60% move in Dell over a couple weeks for a trade is much better than buying it 3 years ago, holding, and being down 60%... Besides, you know as well as I do that we had a huge bubble, Dell was part of it (although not to the extent of the BRCMs and JDSUs of the world), and we are simply seeing the downside of it.

Regards,
John
