Slide 35 on opportunity: 300M+ PCs < 500 MHz, 450M under 700 MHz. 65% of installed base is business (implies biz may be more "eager" to upgrade).

Dropped to 72% in US retail mobile in Q3, but expect to gain back what was lost in Q4 and beyond.

Banias in 2003, >25% improvement, 25% battery improv.

Servers growing again.

Itanium 16 customers. McKinley Q4 (not sure what milestone).

18% growth predicted by intel in enterprise, which is > what IDC thinks. 25% CAGR over next 4 years.

DP Prestonia, Gallatin (0.13 misron).

New server chipsets coming (from Tenchusatsu!). intel had been lagging here recently.

Beat out Sun servers recently at NY Life, Reuters, USA Today, Inktomi, VW and Merrill Lynch.

Summary: "Intel architecture firing on all cylinders, have products to acclerate lead".

"Absolutely and deadly focused on growing market share in every segment."

bmw
intel (and amd) made a habit of not meeting the deadlines lately, don't you think? 3GHz mark would be important though considering that p4 would be competing against hammer
