24% in September would imply less than 24% for the quarter. Intel shipped 4x from the prior quarter so I would guess 15% average would be a good number. Paul's assumption of 8mil p4s would then imply 8/.15~53 mil for the quarter and total market share 53/.8*4~270 mil chips.
If we take ML assumption of 27mil for the quarter then that would imply 27*.15~4 mil. Does that mean that Intel sold 1mil or less p4s in prior quarter?
