No. Unlike Bob Jones University (where students are segregated racially and you must take an oath to Jesus) where Bush likes campaign, you can be an atheist and still teach without interference at a Jesuit school. They actually believe in intellectual freedom. I know this a foreign concept to many "fundamentalist christian" schools where teachers must swear oaths and sign lifestyle contracts as a condition of unemployment, for fear the children might learn some actual critical thinking skills I imagine. But yes, you can be a republican and a jesuit. You just have to live with the fact that you are more apt to be considered to be someone who missed the point altogether. P
