Or is it something the Indians won't consider either? > India has to talk to these Kashmiris, I would consider that borders should be sealed, I doubt India or Pakistan has much of a control on events, but borders should definitely be sealed and after a huge massive crack down by the 600,000 soldiers in Kashmir in a years time India should see if the movement is fanned by across, it will die if it is fanned by Pakistan f the borders are sealed, it will grow if it is indigenous. I don't see that these ‘fundo Muslim’ of Kashmir are not going to be as self destructive as Afghans. That middle ground of ‘cultural literacy’ where nations knows the point of return is made by Ijaz Manoors, Maleeha Lodhis, Benazir Bhuttos and Musharrafs OF NATIONS and an open society, that unfortunately is the weakest link in some of these nations aspiring for freedom, when nations fail to see their weakness they implode. Pakistan was saved by the fact that we had this huge showdown with reality, every time that happens we act responsibly and that was something that was acknowledged by George Fernandes. To know one size realistically is as important as to know one’s strength, THAT rationale is in short supply rather DOES NOT EXIST in Kashmir, it is one area that will definitely implode but I do consider that borders should be sealed and cross border intervention from Pakistan should stop. The very nature of ‘Islam’ much as I disagree with it, to be in continuous flux and continuous struggle needs to be slowly contained only and only by availing opportunities to act side by civilised world until such streaks become permanently embedded in sub-conscious of nations, I see a complete lack of that in Kashmir. I see that we are lucky that we are seeing a huge amount of criticism to ‘Mullahs’ in our local press, Bokhari of India spews same venom of same quality as a Mullah across, the quality of nonsense of a ‘Mullah’ or a 'radical' has same character and venom. Hate has same script all over. Kashmir has to be understood in context of Chechnya and Bosnia where local minorities have erupted; that I hope will be resolved peacefully is the best bet. I don’t think that Pakistan with its problems on hand should have even a inch of more responsibility, it is the locals who wants an independent Kashmir, that is going to be India’s problem not line of ocntrol I even think Pakistan will have to give up their part of held Kashmir.. Today’s friends foster bitterest of tomorrows animosities, we have seen it in the entire spectrum of all struggle movements based in Muslim lands like Hekmatyar-Masood divide in Afghanistan that ravaged the country, Aideed and warlords of Somalia, like war lords in Chechnya, that is most unfortunate of the problems and ‘politically incorrect’ least talked about issues in lands like India, the propensity of struggle for freedom, however incorrect or wrong it may be that is the issue not the LOC.
