Re : Space Invaders / Space Dudes / BREW -- my understanding of BREW is :

It (BREW) is only relevant for a situation like this :

I get my fancy handset.

I activate it with my CDMA wireless carrier.

My carrier then tells me :

We have 8 zillion (I hope) different software applications written by outside people for your wireless phone.

They include :

games to be played interactively with others (over your phone) (using minutes or bytes (!))

um, um, ... um ... other things ....

If you want to install the software, it will cost you some money. You install it wirelessly by calling some phone number, and then following some instructions.

(And then, the software's creator, and my wireless carrier, and QUALCOMM all receive some of the installation fee).

Then, with some or all software applications, some money may be billed to the user (and sent to the same three entities as mentioned above) EACH time you use the software to do something.

Would someone please confirm I've "got it" regarding BREW.

Jon.

P.S. Space Invaders / Space Dudes was in the handset when purchased, does not use wireless minutes or bytes, and has nothing to do with BREW, I believe.
