CLinton had the hideouts of Bin Ladin bombed and missed him by one hour. In 1998 CLinton tried to get COngress to pass a bill that would freeze terrorists finances. Congress was in the pocket of the banking lobby who lobbied Congress and got the bill defeated..........the interests of the bankers were more important to the Republicans than the safety of Americans!! They were busy hunting Clinton when they should have been hunting terrorists. Afterall....weren't the Republicans in the majority of the House and Senate for many years during the CLinton admin? COngress continued to investigate and impeach Clinton over matters that were personal. They were more concerned over what Clinton was doing with his zipper than they were concerned over the welfare of the American public. THey continually kept investigating and trying to keep him from being affective.......yet he was very effective. I also recall that he had Iraq bombed on numerous occasions but I am not sure that action in a warlike manner is the only thing that matters. Clinton made a great many alliances with other nations that will serve us well toward world unity. His efforts in the Middle East were allowed to rot by the Bush admin.......and look where we are now. History will write the story of this era and will tell the tale.....not the opinion of the partisans who post on this thread!! By the way........last week several men who were convicted in the World Trade Center Bombing of 1993 were sentenced. THey have been in custody for several years. You and Paul Harvey better check your facts. You had better not speak too soon...your Bush boy may have spoke a little too boldly!!! THey are already back-peddling about capturing Bin Ladin!!

It pains me to say this....The Urban Legends Reference Pages examined this statement, and found it false. It discusses each claim, then what actions were taken by the U.S. against those deemed responsible. It seems as though the only case where, at least someone hasn't yet been caught, is the attack against the USS Cole.
