They just want power. I don't know if it's the culture or the religion, but it is vicious. I had a shocking experience a few years ago while making conversationg with a Paki cab driver about the report of the Paki nuke. He was ecstatic ! Up to that point he seemed like an intelligent kid, mid-20's, well-spoken, going to college to study computer engineering. The vicious warmonger emotion was so embedded he didn't even question them after 1/2hr of conversation about consequences of nuke warfare. It was all about "those bastards in India", etc. I asked him if he'd ever witnessed a nuclear detonation, or seen pictures, and he hadn't, he just knew it was POWER. It's a shock on a quiet afternoon coming back from my daughter's wedding to encounter that. They all want what America has, and think it comes from having military power, then they combine it with Dark Ages viciousness. I'm convinced Fouad Ajami and all the rest would cheefully see America turned into rubble, say "too bad" and dance on our graves. How the hell do we get rid of these guys ? We need to make a concerted effort to get those who support our enemies out of the country, keep our dollars flowing to civilized peoples, defend our homeland in ways we've never seen before, and continue a long and careful military campaign, both overt and covert, until we, at least, are safe. I am sure Dr. Ajami is receiving funds from one of the 5 terrorist-supporting Aram countries. That alone should be grounds for expulsion. If not, there's something very powerful that hasn't been used yet, called "public opinion" by citizens of this country. Since our politicians don't answer to us, it's time we provide the answer ourselves. If the board of Johns Hopkins fires this guy, he can sue all he wants, but if the juries and boards of inquiry in the US won't flinch - he would be OUT. Courage is needed - we seem to have NO oil company president willing to offer non-Middle East oil. Oil company executives either have no balls, or are kissing Saudis every morning for breakfast.
