CNN Chief Orders 'Balance' in War News
Reporters Are Told To Remind Viewers Why U.S. Is Bombing

washingtonpost.com

Perhaps the American media is realizing they are on the wrong side of the American people in this struggle. One can only hope.

Their purposeful lack of balance only serves to jeopardize the lives, undermine the safety of young American men and women risking their lives for our freedoms.

The media has resented from day one that the Defense Department wouldn't schedule this war for prime time viewing, wouldn't bring along excess media baggage and their resentment has been apparent at every turn.

The media decided this war would end in 2 weeks ..... no reasonable person would ever have believed that. Now, they question daily why it hasn't ? Well, they are the only dopes who ever said it would.

They surmise daily that military objectives are not being met ? How would they know ? Most can't run successful, profitable media outlets let alone manage a war. Seems I heard the same whining regarding Bosnia; guess they didn't learn when provided the opportunity.

They would now have us rush in American troops before WE are ready .... so they could all then write about the American bodybags and blame the government for acting in haste !

They are annoyed that the FBI issued a warning without specifics .... well, there are none to provide. I'm sure they'll all be greatly disappointed unless there are 5,000 more dead Americans lying in the streets. Gee, if no Americans die this week, they'll blame the FBI.

Americans need to look around their neighborhoods, look at their children, look at their loved ones .....

Then watch film of Afghani "life" .... this "life" is what others wish on your neighborhoods, your children, your loved ones ....

I think it's time all Americans, including our esteemed media, decide what side of the fence they are on. The media can begin by providing balance and eliminating their intentional undermining of our government at every turn.

This is war, not a glorified TV show, despite the wishes of the American media !

Peace .... JB
