See how ignorant many Americans are? Even those posting here are supposedly somewhat educated and yet many postings show lack of awareness, sensitivity and respect for others that are different. And they don't realize it or don't care about it.

So, what makes us ignorant, unaware, insensitive and disrespectful ??

Because BubbaFred says so ???

ROFLMAO .... gimme a break ....

You've proven yourself to be one of the most anti-American voices on SI ...

Your opinion, although entitled to it, is worthless !

I do agree with one premise in the email you included .... it is time for America to use its' greatest weapon in this war ....

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Aid to true allies only, let the rest have their little piece of the rock and run it into the ground any particular way they like.

I most respectfully disagree, not all of them, most of them the silent majority and vocal majority are bunch of very nice people. Sometime 'strength and power' breeds’ unnecessary arrogance, those who cannot handle it, the thing spills but containment and right usage in quantity and size is the art of maintaining power long term overall if you look at the history of great powers In this borderless world US has done far better than most of the previous empires. An economic might that US have and grip it has on the global events is not fully appreciated by some, but the US government is well balanced and knows how to increase the pressure on incremental basis. Individual outburst and manners are not representative of nation, it is the action of the government that symbolises a nation, in my opinion US is very well balanced and has good rationale in using crude power.

" Pakistan is heir to some of the most ancient civilizations of the world. Its languages, which were part of the culture of the people of this region, too have ancient roots. These languages have not generally been used in the domains of power because the rulers of this region were generally foreigners. But the foreigners -- whether Achaeminian Iranians, Greeks or Muslim Arabs, Turks and Pathans as well as the British -- have also enriched the indigenous languages so that their vocabulary is multilingual and varied. As the people of this area converted to Islam the Arabic and Persian words became part of their Islamic identity and remain so. In a sense it is their very presence as well as the Arabic-based scripts of all Pakistani languages which give them a kind of cultural unity. Linguistically, then, Pakistan faces two directions: India - because the roots of its languages are Dravidian as well as Indo-Aryan; and the Middle East - because its scripts and vocabulary owe much to Arabic and Persian.
