Dear Joseph Kinsky denouncing anybody does not get us anywhere... having said this, I totally and vehemently disagree with Ben Ladn and the Taliban...they are simply mad people. my statement that they do not necessarily represent Islam was in reference to the fact that they are Muslims and claim to be interpreting Islam correctly.... and it seems that there are Muslims and non-Muslims who accept that... in Islam, a Muslim can not proclaim another Muslim to be a non-Muslim because of his acts... what Muslims should do, I think, is to publicly debate Bin Laden and the Talibans and expose them for what they are... mad people... allow me to give you some examples... the Taliban forbade women’s education and work... yet, in one of the battles of Islam, a woman defended the Prophet pbuh by standing in the way of his attackers... and there numerous incidents showing that women were present on the battle fields helping with whatever they could do… where is that from no women working in Afghanistan ? in Islam, it is a sin to waste the sustenance of those whom depend on you... it is the duty of Bin Laden and the Talibans to utilize what they have to improve the living conditions of the people of Afghanistan... many in the world saw their living conditions... Japan and Germany are where they are today because they were forbidden to spend much on military... how can we get this message to Bin Laden and the Taliban...? so my friend, and I hope you allow me to call you so, the biggest fight is to educate everyone, Muslims and non-Muslims on what Islam is... regards amein alsuezi
