Excuse me ratan, but I have to say you are hopelessly naive if you believe everything would continue hunkydory if suddenly there was no more oil.

The entire Western industrialized world is built upon the foundation of OIL. Everything is predicated upon it. Without oil, there is no production. There is no transportation. There is no communication. Collapse with a capital "C." I don't know where you are posting from, but Americans can't so much as open their eyes without being absolutely IMMERSED in the necessity of oil. Take that away and the structure built upon it collapses. If that isn't obvious enough, there are perception problems here.

I meant just what I said. There would be mass panic, chaos, a total breakdown and mass violence. Total collapse.
