Your right, and the loading port would be better even if it wasn't for the constraints.
I was thinking of xraying them but even that would
be next to impossible at sea, and then what do you
do if one looks suspicious ?
Just the same the system we now have for containers
is weaker than the security was on the airlines,
and one hell of a dirty bomb could be on the way
even as I write this..( several of them are more likely
on the first attack as they know we will cover the
hole fast after the first one. )
But closing that hole won't do the people much good
after the fact in whatever ports they hit.
