Hi Lola,

>Emotions will run high. There will be more support for Islamic groups. Some governments may be toppled,'' the Prince said referring to Pakistan and Indonesia. ''We worry about civil war in Pakistan. The impact will be dramatic.''

Now that is a truly scary thought.
I think the US was doing a very good job in trying to make this a U.S. vs. Terrorist war.
But if these governments topple....it could widen the war dramatically.

I don't think this would be in any ones interest (except may be the extremists)

The end game of this real life chess match is very unpredictable.
If the Pakistani government falls...who comes into power? Will it be another General or some fundamentalist?
If that happens what happens to the nukes?

If Countries like Indonesia have problems will this fight truly take a global dimension?

I was not too scared with the anthrax scare....but now I am truly getting worried.

I hope the situation can be kept under control. Again, I think it is in America's interest to distinguish between the Islamic terrorists and our own loyal Muslims so as to not make this a US vs. Islam thing.

-Raj

Why doesn't saudi give the afgans some "advice" instead of us?

Better yet, why haven't they sent troops fight against Afgan?

Why haven't they co-operated 100% with the anti taliban forces of the world, and tried to get to the bottom of whatever it is they have "doubts" about?

Like I said, our mortal enemies. If governments are toppled because the United States dares defend itself against murderers and the states who sponsor them, then we will just have to start adding a few more countries onto our target list. We are not responsible for the internal politics of these Islamic states. If they can't control their populations, if they are overthrown and replaced by sworn enemies of the U.S., well then we'll start lining these states up for destruction, one by one. Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but from what I've seen in the newspapers this past week, and here at SI, this is exactly the mood in America right now.

There was a gas explosion not 400 yards from my house 3 hours ago. No less than 50 fire trucks and ambulances raced down my street to the scene. A raging fire burned down two houses, a huge fire engulfing both, damaging a number of others, and a tower of smoke 500 feet high billowed above my neighborhood. Many here had no idea what it was, though in times like these you have to wonder. There are some major government facilities less than a mile away. Now I know in tiny measure a bit of what it felt like Sept. 11 in lower Manhattan. And it makes me very, very angry.

Then I come home to a Saudi Prince making veiled threats against my country. Saudi Arabia is living in the twilight zone right now. They simply haven't the slightest clue what America is capable of right at this moment. They will come to know it soon, however, of this I am sure.

Hi Lola. The more I hear from these muslim countries the more convinced I become that the only solution is total and absolute defeat of all of them.
Imagine this moron saying this......." ''Ramadan is very important,'' said Prince Turki.".....
After his kind have murdered over 5000 Americans and others. Do they think that the lives of these people were not important. If the bombing is stopped for their stupid so called holy month so they can regroup and resupply then we deserve to lose to these scum.
