From a visual point of view, as long at any of the middle of the channel candles are touching the channel, you can be safe in knowing no signal is about to be given. This means the error is small and the trend is in tact.

I have shown two channel lines in the past:
(1) Day just before signal.
(2) Day of signal.
(3) The expansion of the distance between the lines shows
up clearly.

Note: The comment that the lower trend line has been broken by today's action is "meaningless" and indicates no understanding of the "error expansion" that happens during a change of trend.
