It's Only a Paper Moon
Originally Written by Arlen, Harburg and Rose
Remade by Leon Parker, 1994

I never feel a thing is real when I'm away from you
Out of your embrace, the world's a temporary parking place
MMMMM, A bubble for a minute
You smile, the Bubble has a rainbow in it
Say it's only a paper moon sailing over a cardboard sea
But it wouldn't be make believe if you believed in me
Yes it's only a canvass sky hanging over a muslin tree
But it wouldn't be make believe if you believed in me
Without your love, it's a honky-tonk parade
Without your love, it's a melody played in a penny arcade
It's a Barnum and Bailey world, just as phony as it can be
But it wouldn't be make believe if you believed in me

If you can be open minded and allow music to swing from super mellow to jamming rock then I would say pick yourself up a copy of SMASHING PUMPKINS - MELLON COLLIE AND THE INFINITE SADNESS While the music may not be for everyone it's one of the best constructed CD's I have ever heard. IMO this is on a par with The Wall.
