Hal has been doing nicely since you started posting here.

Let me see if I guess Hal's methodology.
As candles form, Hal calculates a running linear regression value and also a standard deviation (or some proportion of one). A fresh signal is given when the calculated standard deviation exceeds some specified percentage of price or of the current LR value.

Have you tried the system on shorter periodicities?
