In short, our government is bought and sold by our Corporations, wealthy individuals, and those who are willing to take baksheesh and sell out our country without the American people's support.

Lets face it, we need the oil, the Corporations are in bed with the Saudis, Kuwaitis, for what is yet still cheap oil. The Saudis were paying protection money, while trying to maintain their lifestyles that did not address the needs of their country(men). Revolution is in the air. We did not cause it, directly, the Saudi people want it.

The Saudis were sold a bill of goods and sold off their assets and squandered their resources. They are dunces. They want to build a European society in the desert and in the longer term they will be back to camel tents when their oil runs out. They are presently busted. Since the industrial world needs their oil they will not be allowed to fall on their faces, much as Donald Trump was not allowed to. There is too much money involved and much of it was not his, it was the banks'.

Our domestic energy policy favors this situation and the American people go along with it because the tax structure encourages it. Large homes are a great place to park money, and it subsidized by a tax system that has all the taxpayers picking up the tab through mortgage, and interest deductions. there are no limitations ot how many homes you can own, how much you mortgage it for and what was to be a way to get Americans into their own homes has turned into a welfare/tax hedge for the wealthy. the result is tremendous energy needs and corrupted politicians who cater to those welfare queens.
