I believe the notch is a result of the etcher used at poly etch...charging affects due to rf power constantly applied. I don't think Intel segregates products to run on different poly etchers for .18, so I have to believe the notch exist.

I would be surprised if they did. It could either be endemic to the etcher or an effect that was enhanced with choice of etch recipe. What I wonder is if they're using the same etcher for P860, and if so what they did differently...
