A new unit will be trading Nov. 8, CON.NI on the TSE, tdcanadatrust.com 12% or 1% monthly. The IPO was overly subscribed,so it might move up on the open,but even 11% is good income in these days.
Another one smu.un, still paying 11.6%.
If you look around, you should be able to get between 9-10% without that much risk.
Residential reits, which are alot less riskier, give around 7%.
At any rate, keeping your money in the bank with negative growth is the safest for some.

OT: Bill, I hear they are building that ice hotel with 30 rooms this year LOL.
