interesting, I should ask you about the main goal of intel operation because it does not sound that it is optimizing the value of shareholders equity

BTW current expectations are that amd would be in the red for at least another year

Why don't you take down your dusty securities analysis text from U. Mich. and calculate what EPS a company with Intel's growth rate (per Mr. Barrett) should have to be worth today's price? I say $1/year, and you won't see it anytime soon, not this year or next. INTC could be fairly priced at $25 in 2003, doing $10 billion revenue/Q. Look forward to it, and all the days between.
