Dear Dave: Well, I learned a lot about history just from our family tree. One thinks of indians of the time as the "Noble Savage". Truth is, at least in the East, they were pretty civilized even before the white man came. They had villages, actually TOWNS with solid structures, not TEEPEES. They had a government, and HERES THE SHOCKER, a lot of our CONSTITUTION is based upon INDIAN laws. They had fields of crops etc etc. Really not much different then the way the whites of the time lived. jdn
