Hi Ray - I was listening to the event on CSPAN radio, so can't be 100% sure which person was talking about the Mossad's responsibility for the WTC attack, but am fairly certain it was the man with the Islamic Center, which would be Mohammed Asi, not Abdul Alim Musa.

At any rate, whoever it was spoke right before Shabazz.

My point is not that the guy was a "genuine crackpot." It's that he was speaking the official party line. This is being promulgated throughout Islam, including by official government newspapers in Egypt and Syria.

The "beauty part" of the message is that the US

1) has no reason to attack bin Laden and the Taliban because we are going after the wrong people;
2) have been hornswoggled by the Israelis;
3) are the puppets of the Israelis;
4) are destroying innocent people as part of the Zionist push for world domination.

It takes away all legitimacy for our actions, and justifies theirs. Since that is the kind of people we are, then we deserved to be attacked. Therefore, even if bin Laden had attacked us, we deserved it.

Breath-taking.

P.S. They don't want to compromise about Israel. It must go.

P.P.S. The Islamic Center is where Bush prayed, barefoot, to show our respect for Islam.
