We need to find a way to make flying much safer. There has to be methods with checks and balances that will work. Our airport security and probably other types od security can be re-designed in a manner that will safe-guard against situations like "missing laptops". There is a method used in scientific clinical trials that is designed to safe guard against fraud. It is cumbersome with documentation and all entries have to be witnessed and dated. Protocols are designed, studied and executed to the "T". We need something like that system that will make every individual responsible and accountable. It's just an idea of how we could start.
