You are full of it, Wanna. There is absolutely no indication of instability of the Athlon XP platform.

The only instability is IN YOUR HEAD. That was an outright lie!

On the other hand, the author reports of some instability problems with the Athlon XP platform, while the Pentium 4 platform runs flawlessly.

Armed with the highest performing KT266A, and Windows XP, the Athlon XP outscores the Pentium 4 in many tests.

The socket A EPox board used by THG is certainly not the cream of the crop compared to the Asus board used for the P4's. It costs $104 including audio on Pricewatch. The Asus P4T-E board is $158 without audio on Pricewatch.

I wonder how much worse the P4 performance would have been with a Socket 423 motherboard like the $107 ECS P4ITA.
