In my experience, both AMD and Intel processors are capable of being 100 percent stable at stock speed. But overload the power supply or throw in a cheap OEM motherboard or buggy Taiwanese chipset and all bets are off. Then again, that's not always true... my home built duron overclocked by 50% on a (asus) via kt133 chipset used to run consistently with weeks of uptime whereas my Compaq deskpro p800 at work on an Intel motherboard needs a daily reboot despite the fact that I run the same intensive applications non stop on each (rc5, Dragon NaturallySpeaking etc.)

Sure, two data points is not a trend but these examples do disprove the theory that all business SKUs are stable and all k7's are not.
