The point is, Dave, that they might want to buy it today and tomorrow and for a few more days. Why short a stock because it has moved up for one day? If you want to short it, try it up in the upper 60's or low 70's. At THAT point, the valuation really is probably too high.

Maybe short covering is moving it up. That can last a few days.

This thought process kept a large number of people out of the market through 1/2 of the 1980's and all of the 1990's.

They made the wrong decision.
