What do you expect the government to do? Not all the unemployed can go to work for the government.
If everyone goes to work for the government then really look for productivity to increase.

Yet another example of not knowing what the hell you are talking about. The Treasury's only been issuing 30-year bonds on a regular basis since 1977. Hell, none of them have even matured yet. Getting rid of them is a non-event, except for those who like to speculate on them and except for the effects of any additional mortgage refi activity that results from a sub-5% 30-year.
