I pin my hopes on 'Father of all moderates' a graduate of Saint Patrick’s High School, Karachi and Forman Christian Collage, Lahore ..<Are the moderates there in a position to put an end to this madness? >

This is the leader of our moderates, our leader now, our hopes are pinned on him...look at his education, at his secular approach and as if providence helped us he was on the top, could not have been better for us. (I have been not supportive of him as I don't like military rulers and Kargil but now 110% support him, I trust him now for anything in this- we have to do it so lets do it Pakistan)

General Musharraf attended renowned Educational Institutions of Pakistan like Saint Patrick’s High School, Karachi and Forman Christian Collage, Lahore. Between the ages of six and 13 Musharraf lived in Turkey and, significantly, he claims that Kemal Ataturk, that country's secular moderniser, is his hero. He was appointed head of the armed forces in 1998. As a promising young Captain, he got married to Sehba Musharraf on 28th December 1968. He remains a devoted family man and a loving father to their two children Ayla and Bilal, both happily married. They have a grand-daughter, Mariam from Ayla.

Pakistan's military ruler has said in the past that he finds it 'lonely' at the top. He has also said: 'Ask those who know me, I'm trustworthy.' Right now it must seem lonelier than ever and a lot of hopes are being pinned on President General Pervez Musharraf, not just by Pakistanis but by leaders around the world.
Born in Delhi in 1943, Musharraf's family migrated to the country at the time of partition. He comes from a middle class family, his father having worked for the foreign ministry. A graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and the National Defence College, General Pervez Musharraf also distinguished himself at the Royal College of Defence Studies, United Kingdom. Commenting on his performance in his report remarked, "A capable, articulate and extremely personable officer, who made a most valuable impact here. His country is fortunate to have the services of a man of his undeniable quality".

A natural sportsman, who has always loved the outdoors and spends most of his leisure time playing Squash, Badminton or Golf. The General also takes keen interest in water sports, is a enthusiastic canoeist and loves to sail. An avid reader he is well versed in Military History, being his favourite subject.
