Nice trading. I've been doing more ST work

than I prefer this year because of the scarcity of Intermediate (multi-month) runs which are my usual bread and butter. This year reminds me a lot of 1988 (my 2nd year as a professional investor). It was "wipsaw city". (Actually did quite well in 1987)

As far as Bear Markets like this one, once the inexperienced easy marks are culled out of the trading population in the 1st year, the competition becomes tougher. Now, you're left with fewer dumb bells. It's average & good amateurs and pros only left on the playing field. And the MM's get a lot nastier as volume slowly dries up in their stocks..

Fact is, pros don't like competing against other pros or the better amateurs. Nor do they like less liquid markets for their trades. That's the stage of the Bear Market we're entering now.

So like most most of the ole hands I know, it's play less frequently with smaller positions, and keep a much higher average cash level. And IMHO this Bear, punctuated with the occasional good tradable rally, is going to grind on for years.

All JMVVHO, fwiw<g>.

Cheers,
