Yes, I'm not surprised that indicators are turning up. I forgot to mention the news on UAL, which reported the worst earnings in its history. The SSB analyst would have seen something positive in that.

Then there was MSFT, of course. Who would have thought that there'd be a settlement. What an extraordinary development. Once they reach the settlement, tech stocks will certainly be out of the woods. Nasdaq 10,000 by January?

Oh, and the good news on auto sales. Sales are up surprisingly, what with 0% financing and all. The problem is that the companies can't make any money with the incentives. But when was that ever a problem?
