tim-

apparently we disagree.

that's ok dude. i grew up in gallup
and know friends whose parents and
grandparents were imprisoned at camps
during WWII solely because they were of
japanese heritage.

letters and feelings like the one posted
are the first steps toward letting that occur again.
most of us aren't as intelligent and capable
of such unbiased discernment as you are, my friend.

i didn't write or post that letter. there was
a request as to what we thought of it. if you liked
it, tell the writer or the poster, don't tell me.

allow me my opinion, as i allow you yours. thanks.

you may now have the last word.
i will keep my mouth shut and not reply again.

namaste

A F T E R H O U R S .. Q U O T E S & EARNINGS REPORT DATES
Voltaire's Porch Basket of Stocks
These Stock Have Not Been Picked By Any One Individual
GORILLA--A company that controls it market because it has a discontinuous innovation ,one that is not compatible with existing systems. The market is in a hyper growth stage, and they control the architecture. There is a high switching cost to using some other company's product.

KING--The Market leader, properly with a two-times lead or better over its closest competitor. If the lead shrinks too far, the king becomes a prince, and we have a kingless market. Because they lack architectural control, and because switching costs are low, they cannot force competitors onto the defensive the way Microsoft, Intel, or Cisco can. Compaq is a king. Seagate is a king of hard drives.

A lot of study has been done on these stocks by the Gorilla and Kings thread. There are the stocks that are discussed most often on the porch........and 1 or more are in most porcher's portfolio.

The following Stocks are on the Gorilla and King Index (*)or the Gorilla and King Watchlist

Good points, Tim.

There is a new generation of haters out there, some raised to believe the Americans are anti-Islam arrogant imperialists.

Complex issues, but basic in nature, and pragmatic. If my parents' generation had sat on their butts, kissing ass, wringing their hands, scared to defend themselves about 60 years ago, we'd all be speaking German right now.

Hate to say it this way, but if you are under attack and someone is trying to kill you, then you best defend yourself and try to kill him first.

We have foreigners in America that have come to live, work and gain the benefits and assistance of being here, i.e., government assistance, education, financial, health/medical. They are better off here than anywhere else in the world. America is good to them. I don't think it's unreasonable for us to expect them to now show at least some support, to do a little part towards standing up to say they condemn what has happened to our Country, and to defend our actions to protect ourselves.
