Hey DH, How u be? The main purpose in carpet bombing is to boost the morale of the bomber. It does almost nothing strategically/militarily. If anything, it is counterproductive. Just ask those on the Ho Chi Minh trail who got carpet bombed for literally years. It only strengthened them, and history has shown that that seems to be the rule rather than the exception. And they dropped far, far more bombs on dem Ho's, you can be sure. Matter of fact, I read an eyewitness report that said that as soon as the dust cleared from one explosion the Talo Beanz jumped in their trucks and were driving around, conducting business as usual in between bombing runs.
