Soft, I am not sure I understood your tactics on EMLX, you were shorting above $24 (and kept urging all of us short above so and so and "make money") and covered these Thursday, was that in anticipation of a move up? A stop loss (the stock really did not break any important price level for that), taking opportunistic profits (sure nothin wrong with that) or just reduction in exposure for safety purposes and possibly in anticipation of a greater move up Friday? I am trying to understand the urgency of that covering.

My confusion might be due to the inexactitude of the English language ("...had to cover early today...", was cover "too early to make a profit, or was it simply "early today"? Furthermore, the "had" implied "compulsion"?)

TIA

Zeev

Softie.. I trade QLGC exclusively.. why can't you wait for the thing to turn down on a daily.. You may miss the top by 3 points, but believe me, it will give a lot more.. Or find something weak short-term.. JNPR WAS a great short.. still may fill it's gap. Software has been really weak also... You will be finally right for sure.. Got this from somewhere on SI..

"The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent."

And by the way.. QLGC will likely try 43 again.. just because it feels like it. If you are trying to pick it's top, try 44+ area.. You are squandering lots of profit by not swing-trading it.
