You may be further ahead bombing Ottawa rather than Afghanistan. The New Years Eve bomber caught at the border in Washington State, was holed up at a motel in Vancouver just 6 blocks from my house. He was on the "to be deported but we're not serious" list. Please understand our government. It has no credible opposition. It is arrogant, fat, rich and inefficient. And, it calls elections when it sees no chance of losing. Chretien went to a Liberal Party fundraiser the day Guiliani had asked him to meet with him. We need your (USA) help to change things up here. It is in the best interests of both populations, but not our government. Therein lies the crux of the problem. Sanction us, threaten us even invade us if you have to. I and many many Canadians have had enough. Our leaders and revenue men have offshore tax evasion accounts, while they tax the hell out of us to further their personal empire building. My taxes in Vancouver include education levies to teach immigrant children as English Second Language cases. Their parents do not pay for this the taxpayers do. Once we deplete our natural resources, we are headed for 3rd world status, as we have little or no other world class businesses. While attending new hire training at my last job, I was required to meet with a Human Resources manager who informed me that since the company sold to the federal government, I (as a white male) would not have been hired if a visible minority applicant was equally qualified for the job. Why they even bothered to tell me is beyond me. Perhaps if I told them that I was an immigrant, I would have guaranteed myself the job. This is blatant discrimination. Something the Canadian government is careful to avoid. So why do I have to put up with it? We have a very dangerous situation brewing up here, and all Americans should be aware of it.
